Optimum Nutrition Creatine Powder Review

(Last Updated On: 01/02/2017)

Each serving of Optimum Nutrition Micronized Creatine Powder supplies a full 5 grams of 99.9% pure CreaPure brand Creatine Monohydrate. The patented production method used to produce this Creatine yields a tasteless, odorless powder that mixes easily into water or juice and does not readily settle to the bottom. As a result, the gritty taste or texture you may have experienced with other Creatine powders is not associated with this product. Because it’s unflavored, you can stack ON’s creatine powder with protein shakes, gainer formulas and other sports nutrition powders.

There is no taste, as ON only makes their micronized creatine unflavored. Sometimes when companies say unflavored, there is still this bitter taste, but with this product there was no after taste or bitterness when mixed in water. There is no smell. Dosing is easy; ON suggests just one tea spoon with a meal of immediately after train with your post workout protein shake or with a meal. I usually took it right after working out and that worked great for me.

We are all familiar with monohydrate and how you chug it immediately after you mix it. Reason you don’t want it to break down, but really it’s because if you don’t down that drink fast the majority of the creatine will settle at the bottom of the glass/shaker. The mixibility is something they stress with creapure. And in all honesty its pretty good. They market this as if it will dissolve seamlessly in water…..which is far from true. But it’s good enough where there isn’t too much creatine residue at the bottom of your shaker.

I gotta say im a big fan of creatine, and I haven’t had any problems with any creatine and this creatine was no different. When I took this I was taking nothing else but whey protein and fish oil. I saw gains in most of my lifts. It was nothing spectacular, but enough to make me happy with the product. I was not as fatigued in the gym, and as a result I worked a little bit harder. I remember bent over barbell reps were getting easier, maybe it was because I was getting stronger idk but I would like to contribute some of those gains to this product.

This product is a good value for creatine as well, 36 dollars for a 2000 gram tub that has 400 servings in it works out to a mere 9 cents a serving. So it’s cheap on top of lasting you a very long time. What else is there to say, great result, great value, great company. I would highly recommend this creatine to anyone who is looking to go the monohydrate route.

It did increase my strength a little bit being able to force up those last reps of mine and increased the load of the weights. Did what it’s supposed too! Its inexpensive, effective, and has no crappy side effects.
