Here’s what ON has had to say about this new product:

“Micellar casein is known to provide lasting anti-catabolic muscle support. That’s why nutrition savvy athletes use it between meals and before bed. ON’s new Platinum Tri-Celle Casein Protein takes slow digesting protein a step further with micellar casein molecules that are threee times larger. These super-sized molecules form a dense gel in your stomach and slowly break down over several hours to delliver sustained amino acid support. Using just a spoon, mix one scoop into water, milk or your favorite beverage and you’ll be convinced that Platinum Tri-Celle Casein is ON’s easiest to mix and most enjoyable casein product.”

I got the Chocolate Decadence flavor and it was great for me, but I am a chocolate fan so could be a little bias. It will depend on your taste but overall I feel the taste is good compared to other supplements I have tried.

First thing I noticed was that it mixes better than any powder I’ve ever tried before. After mixing, it starts to get slowly thicker so I added some more water before drinking it. Did not see any lumps, smooth going down.

I felt full afterwards. If it carries on thickening after consumption then I guess it will be a great satiety product. But I don’t know what its effects were in this regard as I went straight to sleep. I have to say however, that when I woke up, I felt good and was in no hurry to have breakfast. For me personally this is ideal because I’m not really a morning person and making breakfast is a pain in my butt. As this is still a new product al I can say so far so good.

As many other Optimum Nutrition products it is pricey, I got mine of amazon.com for about 45$ for 2.5lb tub. If you are stressing for cash this is very steep, but you get quality product here it appears. There are only positive reviews from consumers so far.

I’ve never really been disappointed by ON and it looks like they have another solid product here, we will have a better opinion of it after more people have tried this fairly new product. It seems like this will take over the ON 100% casein territory very soon as long as it does what it say. If you have tried this supplement please feel free to share your knowledge and experience with us.
